The wooden sawmill was built in 1932 and is left abandoned since 1983. The steam sawmill still contains the complete equipment, including some interesting ancient looking steam engines (The Noble, Nolet and Bracq, manufactured in 1902 and bought second hand in 1932). From the mid 1980s steps were taken to protect the complex as a historic landmark, a museum for lost craftwork or a place to expose artwork. However the costs to preservation where high and nothing is done to protect the complex for further decline. |
